Bar Mitzvah Weekend!!!

Ok, guys! Big day is tomorrow!! We are at the temple now (services in half an hour...), and tomorrow is Michael's big day! In case you don't know, a Bar Mitzvah celebrates a Jewish childs coming of age. Takes place when they are 13. (Michael will be 13 on Monday). There is services at the Temple, which the child leads, and they get to read from the Torah.

Usually, there is a party afterward (think My Super Sweet 16). Michael's "theme" is "Michael's Great Adventure". If I can figure out how to post pictures, I will! Wish us luck!!

I remember mine, back in 7th grade. I read the rebellion on Korach. What is his Torah portion?

Bereshit (We just celebrated Simchat Torah, so we get to start all over...His is the first Torah portion..."In the Beginning")

Oh nice! That was almost my best friend's portion. He had Adam and Eve's encounter with the snake.

Thanks, everyone! Michael did an amazing job, we were very proud of him. The party was a lot of fun. I can't believe it's over! 2 years of planning, and more money than I care to count, and it's over in the blink of an eye!
