i was looking around and i thought you could set certain "properties" for contacts, meaning if they get html format or plain.. did not find it yet but perhaps you can give the people you do not want to receive the attachment to a smaller maximum email size... but, if that is possible you might receive a bunch of bouncing emails back :]

but then sometimes what if they WERE to get the attachments...

I had this happen today.
We are using pop 3 for email.
I couldn't cc everyone on ten emails containing 68 mb of attachments.
so I just sent a second email.
We use network solutions for our mail.
Hockey, if you come up with a solution, let me know.
I was going to post this and then I saw the post.

yea... good point, perhaps you do need to look into a 3rd party mailing/distribution list app..
