so i need to move this 1 pc which will be the peer to peer server (for now)... so i un-join the domain, now i can't get in it 'cuz it does not accept my admin password..... this bloody heat isn't helping :}

so now i go thru the repair stuff and get in via the security loophole (i hope :}

do you run grouppolicy that renames the Administrator account?

I do that here and when I dis-join the domain I have to use "Administrator" as the username instead of what its changed to w/GP.

nope... no group policy, all i did was unjoin and voila... crap :]

I feel your pain, something so easy should be so simple to "manuver". This morning I had to transfer around 16,000$ worth of charges between 5 rooms. Each charge has to be moved individually.... God I love DOS programs *insert sarcasm here*

On the password hiccup did you try: "adma", "admin", "administrator", administration?
On a Google search on "repairing a peer to peer network" I found this..
Give a look see & if that doesn't help then I will try do more searches.
