Yahoo mail acct wont keep deleted or sent msgs

sometimes when i want to dig something out that i sent someone from a few days earlier, it isn't in my deleted folder. they clear everytime i turn my phone off, and the sent ones dont show up at all, any ideas?

When you set up your Yahoo Account on your Q did you select the SSL encryption box on the incoming server information???
If you want to keep the e-mails from being deleted from the account, in my experience, remove the check mark from the incoming server box for security. This will leave the e-mails on your Yahoo account.
