basically the only problem I am running into is I cant get my PIM.VOL back on my phone...

transfer the pim.vol to a folder on Q, them use total commander to move the file from the folder to the root of device :-)

Thanks for the Thanks.... my first one. So currently the Q is essentially bricked.

I would take the battery out for about 3-5 minutes, this allows what is called flea power to drain (capacitors and what not store electrical energy and must drain). IF after the drain the phone can be booted, I would master reset it or go so far as to flash the ROM, even a reflash of the current one. Stored flea power is a common cause of a hardware lockup.

If I was able to do the above and have the operable phone, I would then, as afore mentioned, rebuild the phone manually from scratch.

Can you save you contacts to a comma separated values file instead of a pim and then import would be my additional question.

If you dont have office, one way to do it is to import the pim into a gmail account and then export the gmail contacts to a csv (windows) file.
