Default word processor

Newbie here. New Q, please help. I would like to have a simple word processor (note pad) which I can sync with my PC. I would like to edit simple word processing docs, and do the editing BOTH on my pc and on my Q. (I have an old Palm which I am replacing and Palm has a simple-to-use note pad which allows changes to the doc to be made both on the pc and on the handheld and then two-way sync.)

I downloaded Vieka and I am able to edit docs on the Q. I have not figured out how to edit on the pc and sync to the Q. Am I missing something? If this is possible, please help me to figure out how. Thanks in advance.

Dan

i believe only smartphonenotes syncs with PC...
but what you could do if you like the program you downloaded is use mobsync...
this will allow you to create a folder on the PC that is just for the docs you want to edit and sync the back and forth

Thank you n99Hockey. I downloaded Smartphone Notes. It seems to do what I want. I will evaluate the free download over the next week or so and then pay for it if I still like it. Thanks again.

If you want you can edit the files that Vieka makes on the PC using Notepad. If you give them a TXT extension, opening them on the PC will be automatic. You would have to manually copy the file from the phone to the PC, edit it and copy it back, but there is no need to purchase software, unless you want automatic sync or Outlook notes sync. (why M/S left that out, I will never understand...)

Just another option.

you could do that but the mobsync program i listed will sync ANY file back and forth...i carry autocad files on my storage card to have important stuff with me (just as an example) so you wouldnt have to copy back and forth
