Default WMP Update Library (no music showing up)

Right now I am not using and SD card as I am just doing some testing to see how things work before I go loading a bunch of stuff in it.

Anyways, I have 3 mp3's in Application Data/Sounds. When I do a library update, it says it found 3 files, but then when I click on "All Music," there is nothing there. Before I ever did an update I used to get all sounds including ringtones and stuff. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

It sonds like the mpo3s are not recommended type. WMP is rough with files sometimes.
Use TCPMP

MP3s should work fine. I ripped abot 10 CD's the other night loaded them on my q with no hang ups. If you sent the mp3s to you device, prior to selecting Update Library in WMP, go to Menu=>Library there will be a little aroow, press the right button, and make sure My Device is selected. Then do a Update Library..

My Device is selected. It is weird that when doing the update it does say it finds 3 files, but yet nothing shows up. The mp3's do play fine when going through the file manager to play them. I do find it weird that NO sound files are in the library including ringtones. Before ....all those sounds were there. How come they are deleted as well?

I moved the files to MyDocuments/Sounds and the files show up when doing the update. Also, it said it found 6 files eventhough it is 3. It did show up though.

Did you do the update? Anytime you add files you must do the update. After going into Windows Media Player, hit menu, then update. If that doesn't work, hit menu, select library, and make sure DEVICE is selected, then try the update again.

I dont use this methid (App. Data/Sounds) instead I sync it with Windos Media Player on my computer and drag the song over and it work great. I suggest you give that a try.

I am not sure what to suggest. If you use File Manager (on the phone) do you see the files? If so....If you select them will they play? Are you sure you have the files in MyDocuments/Sounds. I know that if there are too many layers some people have had problems. I was having the same problem, but then I moved the files and then they showed up.
