Default Will Master Reset wipe out Device Lock?

Hello everyone - this is my first post. I did try to find the answer to my question in the forum first but was unable to.

I let someone else help me setting up active sync with our exchange server and he did something and passed me the phone to put in my password. Well I didn't realize it but it was the device lock setup.

Now the darn phone keeps locking itself. I just got it yesterday - even went through a webinar so I could learn how to use it. But I don't want it to lock on me.

I went to Settings>Security>Device Lock but all it will let me do is change the password.

If I do a Master Reset, will it wipe out the Device Lock? It seems worth it...

your company/server has a forced security policy to keep your mail safe is why. a reset would clear it until you set up AS again...

search here at EQ for a thread Forced Device Lock if you want to get around that!

I really appreciate it though. I already wiped out the AS and am just syncing to my laptop now. I can get email via pop3. So I could really do a master reset - sounds like that would work.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!
