Default Why the he'ck' is MSN running

hey all;

Anyone have any insight on how to turn of "pMSNServer.exe" It is constantly running in the background as a task. Given that battery life and speed are a concern, I would rather not have phantom processes running on their own. Just to be clear, I do not use MSN or Hotmail and have never logged in or set anything up. So, if your advice is to switch users, I have none to switch from. I just want to kill the whole damn thing.

Thanks for any help.

Are you saying that after initiating a 'killall' this process shows back up again? That's the executable for Pocket MSN BTW.

It is pocket MSN - messenger and hotmail, etc, etc. I spoke with Motorola and they said there is no way to turn it off. Which to me equals Reg Hack. It runs behind the scenes periodically after start up. You can catch it on your task manager from time to time. This happens whether you have started or ever used MSN.

So anyone find the hack?

This will run if you have accessed Hotmail/Messenger before (and not signed out correctly) or if you have the Pocket MSN plugin on your homescreen.

Default Its not cool

Its seriously annoying and kinda rude but this device (though rocking in potential) has a lot of little UI gotchas like this.

Anyone know if this is fixed in the ROM update.
