Default Why does my Q keep turning off???

Alright, I am now on my second Moto Q and it's doing the same thing that my first one was doing. Where I live it is kinda shady with service from my provider and my first moto Q that i bought about 3 months ago started acting weird and turning itself off all the time when i didn't have service...so I sent that one back and got a new moto Q and this one has been fine for about 4 weeks and now its starting to do the same exact thing...is there a feature on the Q where it turns off when theres no service or something??? it works perfectly when i go into town...but as soon as i get home it starts acting up, anyone know?

Ok, first off, there are tons of threads on the Q powering off randomly. My question to you is: Is the screen illuminated when it powers itself off, or is it dark?

The reason why I say this is because IF the screen is dark, you should look here and read this thread:

Stupid question, but is it completely powering off? What I mean is when this happens you see your shutdown splash screens and it's completely gone. Or can you press any button and it powers back on? That would just mean it went into stand by mode.

I just have to ask because I remember getting a call one day from this woman at my company saying her laptop crashed whenever it connected to the wireless network. She tells me she has to pull the battery and power it back on and she keeps losing work. Come to find out it was just hibernating because when she used the wireless it wasn't plugged in (She'd be at lunch or a meeting) and she'd leave it idle for long periods of time until it went into standby and hibernated.

So I'm not trying to insult intelligence, just have to ask!

It does sound like this problem does involve stand by mode, it locks up in stand by when on low battery. Try out the registry hackin the thread FourTwenSesh posted.

Have you tried turning it while plugged in? It really just sounds like the battery is dead.
