I like Googlemaps.. Its a little faster than Map4pda in downloading times, and if you have contacts with multiple address, your can select which one you want. As of yet Map4pda won;t allow this... but I think the developer is working on it in a few months.
The satelite imagery in Googlemaps appears better in Googlemaps vs. WLS.
While the options listed above are great free apps, they don't offer the full featured turn by turn audible directions that a commercial application provides.
If you're looking for something like TomTom, Garmin, or built-in car GPS, then I would suggest Route 66 Mobile 7 for WM5 smartphones. You'll have to get an external bluetooth GPS for it to work though (get one with a Sirf III chipset)
I've tried mapopolis and CoPilot 6 and I find Route 66 to be the best.
TomTom 6 does not work on the Q.
FYI, I have Google Maps, Windows Live Search, and Route 66 installed on my Q and find them all to be indispensable tools.
Map4PDA was good prior to Google releasing their own app native to WM5, now that Google Maps has been coded for WM5, I find it much faster and less buggier.
I have the original GPS 10 (not the newer 10x) and the software won't load on my Q. How did you load it?
Garmin Mobile xt loaded directly on the Q. my guess is that if you download the software it may run. the software checks for a Garmin gps, it would make sense to support ALL Garmin bluetooth devices. http://www8.garmin.com/support/colle...t=010-00579-00
I'm goint to agree with Route 66. I've tried Google Maps, WLS, and Mapopolis. Route 66 is the winner. I did a review of it on MGN, including a 5 minute video, here. While it does have some flaws, I think it's the overall best solution on the Q.
