Default what is this and why won't it die?

so in my task manager is something called "rapiclnt". it won't go away when i kill it. i haven't added anything to my phone in a while, haven't done anything new with my phone. i have no clue what it is or what exactly is running in the background that i can't kill. any ideas?

it is related to Active Sync (i believe) so i would guess you can not kill it when the Q is connected to the pc, otherwise you should be able to kill it.

Google it.

Do you use activesync to sync OTA (Exchange)?

It is the RAPI client ( Go Figure) which is used during the active sync process.

I don't sync email with it ... just the regular stuff ... outlook information (contacts, tasks, calendar ... no email), files, etc. I'm thinking I must have unplugged it while it was syncing and it's just stuck there until I sync again. I hope that's it.

I did a google search and all it came up with was a bunch of people who had an error message with rapiclnt in it. At least I'm not getting error messages.

As stated before raaiclnt is the communications software used between the computer and Q while using ActiveSync. It is a windows machine and doesn't always close programs properly. Treat it like you would a windows computer when it freezes or isn't working properly, reboot it. also make use that there isn't any data transfers going on between the computer and the phone before you disconnect, as this will more than likely corrupt your data, and will probably confuse the phone and it will want to continue trying to retiieve the data, possibly keeping the rapi client program running.
