Default Volume/Audio

Happy New Year to you all!

Having a bit of a problem & don't know why. i'm unable to get any volume on my q, (found this out by visiting youtube). i've pushed in the scroll wheel, held it, turned it and etc. when i try to turn it up, it says earpiece volume, but that's not connected. to make sure it wasn't youtube, i went into my files and attempted to play some ringtones i've downloaded - no dice.

i connected my bluetooth earpiece yesterday but couldn't get any audio, so i disconnected it via the bluetooth manager & still am unable to get any audio. any clues as to what i can do would be appreciated. thank you.

don't know if this might help you, it did my q, & all is back to normal now. try removing your battery for a minute, then put it back in - turn the q back on. in case you don't hear the volume as its coming on, press & hod the scroll wheel. like i said, don't know if it will help, but it did the trick for me.

TCPMP should be the player thru watching youtube. To my knowledge you just have to scroll the wheel to get the volume to go up or down not push it in for that activates the 'earpiece volume'..

and a trick is that if a video is too low you can go to options>>audio>>preamp increase to get more boost on volume too much it just sounds crappy...sorry this dont boost earpiece volume just regular...

Sometimes this happens when you pull out the handsfree/earpiece abruptly. Next time try plugging it back in and then removing. That should clear it up. I'm not sure if it's software or hardware that's buggy but this also happens to my tv if I switch inputs as well.

I had this problem a few times. I had to use Sprite back up to restore to a previous date. I had to reload some software but the sound worked like new. Its too late to back up now, but in the future you need to back up.

I'm having the same problem, zero audio. I've tried removing the battery and then doing the headset thing. No luck. Think it's time to back all up and go with a hard reset (man I hate to do that)?

hey shalimar.

i bet you do hate to have to do a reset. however, on the bright side its better to take a lil' time & "back that thing up" rather than lose all your important 411. plus, after your reset, should be good as "okay."

afterall, its not human. its just a SMARTphone (takin' a sick day)..........
