Vista WMDC Moto Q sync fix!!

For those of you who have tried every possible configuration and have searched on every forum like I have and still can't get your Q synced or even recognized by your PC, I may have the solution. I have been trying for days now to sync with my new Dell Studio 17 Vista laptop with no results. I have been connecting my phone using the same cable as the one that I use to connect my portable Hard Drive which I know is a good cable because during these past days I have transferred files using it. I got to work today and just for sh!ts and giggle, plug my phone in with the cable that is in my Windows XP work PC machine; the cable is actually the original Motorola cable that came with the phone; and viola!! The Laptop recognized right away that there was something plugged in, installed the USB Drivers, connected to Mobile Device Center, and synced immediately. I was so surprised that I thought that something had changed on either my phone or my PC, so I tried plugging it back in with the other cable, and still a no go. I went and found another cable in the office, tried it, and it worked too! I have no idea that certain USB cables are different, but apparently they are. I hope this helps some people out. Please let me know if anyone else has this same problem.
