Default Visa Machine Connection

I have a home based business and I want to take my visa machine to the flea market. I purchased an adapter that has a female USB on one end and a RJ11 on the other. I have a mini USB to USB cable. I connect the mini USB connector of the cable to the Q and the female USB connector to the other end of the cable. Then connect the RJ11 connector of the adapter to the visa machine.
I activate the modem link on the Q . I swipe a credit card and the machine comes back with "line busy please wait!"

What am I not doing correctly? (I want the visa machine to dial out like if it was connected to a home phone line.)

are you trying to use your Q as a modem?

if so look in to a program called PDAnet

I don't think you are going to be able to do what you are wanting to do. The CC machine uses an analog modem, I am guessing. The phone does not support that. Someone else should be able to confirm that.
