Did anyone ever find a solution for this? I'm having the exact same issue (audio is fine, video only updates every 3-5 seconds on a 5 minute file). I've got both the ffmpeg and AAC codecs installed.

I haven't found any better solutions in any of the other threads I've dug up through the forum search, but hopefully there is a resolution (even if it is to just purchase CorePlayer...though I'd prefer a free solution if it's possible).

Encode the video with different codecs, and even to an AVI file.

PocketDivxEncoder and AutoGK are great freewares that can ncode your DVDs into a Q compatible AVI format... no added codecs needed to play them on TCPMP.
You could also use the freeware Super to convert from almost any video format to almost any other video format... would go a long way for the playability of the video.

I for one don't have any issues with either MPG4s or AVI files on TCPMP, and watch full blown movies on my Q 2-3 times a week sometimes.

Proper encoding tools, codecs, and A Bit of learned knowledge will gt you there as well...

What is the resolution and bit rate of the file? I had a wma file that was 640 x 480 pixels with a bit rate of 600 kbs. When I tried to view this file, I would get similar choppy video playback. I converted it to 320 x 240 with a bit rate of 350 kbs, and the playback was smooth. The choppy play is caused by the processor/software having to spend a lot of time converting the video to play on the Q, not the total file size.
