I noticed that a number of users have gotten their defective Q's or other phones replaced by Verizon. In order for Verizon to replace your problematic phone, do you have to have the insurance on it? If I purchase a Q without insurance and then have problems with it after 15 days, how does the repair or replacement of it work?
The Q is covered for one year by moto I think, verizon will replace however it maybe a refurbished unit. So as long as it not something you did to it, insurance wont matter. But with a phone like the Q you should pay the insurance fee. just in case.
Verizon is a scam. Had to take my brand new phone that was NEW in Wednesday night. They replaced it with a Refurbished unit which is worse than than my NEW one that I just bought.
I had bought one from a friend that didnt like the Q and wanted a Razor instead. It worked fine but untill I was transfering contacts and other things to the phone , Then it would open up and suddenly lockup every time. I understand that its still under warrenty but I have not yet added it to my verizon account ( because it stoped working right) .
I am going to see if Verizon will replace it under its warrenty or if I must send it back to Motorola.
Anyone know whats best to do? I understand Motorola will replace it with a new one if it cant be fixed but will verizon ?
