Default Verizon Mobile Email by OZ

Hi,

Has anyone used this application on the Moto Q? I recently switched to the 29.99 Web and Email plan and loaded this application. The program works great for receiving email and is much better for my battery life then the Verizon Wireless Sync, but the alarm volume is too low. There are only two options to select... 'Use Phone Settings' and 'Always silent' on the General setting page. Which alarm setting are they using? I selected my 'Outdoor' profile which has everything set to loud and still the email alarm is very quiet.

Any help out there would be apprecaited.

Thanks!

someone else on the boards is. he posted under the pusheffect thread.
I am going to give the verizon program a go try. I am on the 30.00 plan, and am weary if this will violate their TOS about not using wireless sync, etc.
not happy about using sms to get push email.

IMHO, I see no upside to PE if you are a Verizon user over the FREE supplied Mobile Email by Oz. Verizon Mobile Email built by Oz is based on OMA SyncML technology that does not require a blind SMS text message.

Asside from the quiet notice that mail has been delivered, I think this product is a slam-dunk for non MS Exchange Q user.

Just to clarify, the $30 plan is intended to be used with Verizon Mobile Email and there is no violation. In fact, if you had the 44.95 unlimited plan and dropped down to the $30 plan you'll notice that you no longer have Verizon Wireless Sync access and that is because you can do Exchange sync from their and Verizon wants you to pay extra for that.

Just my 0.02.

I just switched over to the 29.99 plan and the oz email software on the q1. I agree with the volume being soft. Also havent found a way to remedy this. Overall I am happy with it though. For the price (free) it works great, i recieve my email in a timely manner. I also like that it works with free yahoo accounts without any sort of crazy tricks.
