UnRead Message Alert - Motorola Q Forum

.....anyhoo...I Love the UnRead Message Alert feature & I've been using it since I purchased the MOTO Q in June. After my update was done....the alert goes off when there is no tx or email.

I tried to bare it thinking it would fix it self...removed the batt & so on...powered down...then on...etc. I am very tech literate so this has me stumped. Should I redo the update? For now the feature is turned off....I sure miss it tho....

. I looked around yesterday & I had 6 tx msg I had no idea I had.

Any thoughts or Ideas Ppl?

I think he/she meant that the alert is going off even though there is no messages....so its turned off ntil the issue is fixed.

Ok, I wanna play too....

In the begining, the OP says that the ring reminder goes off without any messages present, then they go on to say the opposite...Hhmm...

If N99's suggestion doesn't work, make sure your phone volume is turned up, and the profile is "normal." Also, if the sound seems to be already set, but it still isnt' working, change the sound using the instructions above, perhaps that specific sound file is corrupt...

Unread Message Allert- I have no text or emails & it goes off as if I have unread messages.
This started after the software update.....
