Exclamation Unlimited Data Plan!? Really!?

I previously read a thread about Verizon terminating accounts for using an excessive amount of bandwidth under the unlimited data plan. The thread referred to wireless cards and the rule of thumb was 3 consistent months over 5GB or 1 month over 10GB will get your account terminated. Obviously a larger amount of bandwidth usage is expected on a wireless card, so has anyone heard any numbers or ban cases for phone usage?

Currently, I'm at 472MB data usage with about 15 days left in the cycle, and I just hooked up the live t.v. feature on my ORB.com account, so I'm going to start streaming a lot more often. Anyone else keeping track of these numbers, and if so, how much bandwidth have you used in a month?

I have used an average of 5 to 6 gb of data in the last three months, and so far I am fine, I watched tv from U.S. and other part of the world as well, and I listen to online radio too. Ohh! I have PDANet which I used once in awhile.

Dag! You're using the much data on your Q!? That definitely makes me feel a lot better. What program are you streaming your t.v. through? You'd have to do that rather frequently to produce those numbers. I've watched a t.v. program for about 45 mins straight this month, and I'm still not over 500MB. Surprisingly enough my battery held up. Haha.

Anybody try using Cisco VPN over PDAnet? I need to work "on the road" for a week, and I was hoping to just be able to use PDAnet as my connection? Do you think VZW would boot me for 8 hours straight of work for 6 days?

That's what laptops are for.

I'm using a laptop w/ PDAnet (not sure what else you would use with it). My question is if anyones' had any experience using it for extended periods of time for low-demand applications such as Remote Desktop.

I have been using a laptop with Verizons mobile office for over a year using the National Access "back door" w/o a problem. I use Terminal Services as well as Citrix Metaframe. A far cry from streaming video.

Just installed the PDAnet SW after fighting with DUN & it worked like a champ! Want to thank you and the others for the thread!
