Question HELP!!! Transmission Icon

Hello everyone. I have had my Verizon Q for about 2 weeks now and ever since I turned it on, about 10 mins after it has had the 2 arrows above the signal strength. The windows website inder icons says it means "data call in progress". Does anyone have any info on this. I go to task manager and "kill all" programs running. Even after this it is still there. I took a trip last night and when my phone went into extended network (not roam) it went away. After getting back around my house, it came back. Are my settings wrong or is this normal? Thanks all for the help.

I've seen the site to which you're referring and I don't think it's accurate:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...one/icons.mspx

The best I can find is that the two arrows indicate that data access is available. If the phone does have an active data connection you should see a PDA icon, which does not even show on the above site.

(Note: I use Bell Mobility so the above info may not apply to Verizon)

I have VZ and khuas is correct. If you are actually connected, you have the pda icon, if there is the arrows, you have the availability to connect, or a connection was just ending or beginning. there are a couple ways to stop this.
One is to turn off your phone and turn it back on. the other is to do a reg hack to kill your data connection after a certain amount of time. Well ok, there are three. the third is to just ignore it and it will go away eventually, mine always does.
