Default Time doesn't auto update?

Hi - I remember on my very old crappy phone that the time would auto upate off the sprint network. I travelled alot for work and all I had to do was look at my phone and would be able to see the accurate time and the right time zone. Now I have the Q and Facade and the time stays my Central time even though I am currently on my phone doing this post in NYC (EST). Is that auppose to happen?

You are correct, it doesn't happen. It would be better if it did, but it doesn't. Try searching for it and you will find more debate than you would like.

Has to do with syncing appointments and varying timezones. One day it will be fixed. The latest version of Outlook now has timezone sensitive appointments.

Maybe if the GPS would track in a usefull form and able to tell your phone that you are now in this timezone.....Gotta change the time. It would be great.

I do have to say if Motorola would read this forum, they would have a lot of valuable information from a variety of users from different services.
hint hint....*wink* *wink* <--directed to Motorola.

You are so right. I am a frequent traveler for work, which is why I got the Q in the first place... needed to be reminded of meetings and such. It sucks that my old analog knew what time zone I crossed into, but not the Q. Oh well... I just got back from India and needless to say the most I did on my Q was play Bubble Breaker While in India I met a guy who works for Motorola.. he got a lot of product research ideas from me. Thanks EQ for this site... great forum.

The problem is not Motorola. The problem lies with MS. Outlook doesn't know how to sync times in different zones. This has been solved in the latest version of Outook but has yet to migrate to the Smartphone.
