Smile thank you, and I need more help!!

thank you very much it worked for the DOH!. Now if you can help again. I am trying to get ringtones from a radio station. They are sent to your phone as MMS. Is there a way to convert them to wavs, and then to ringtones, via the phone?? thanks again , this is a great web site.

to save from mms you need to open the message and then hit the right soft key and click object view..this will allow you to save the file

i believe it defaults to \aaplication data\sounds

-Sent from my Q

Otherwise, good job

me too.....what ever happened to just explaining it verbally while you are doing it? that would work excellent and not take 8 minutes.

also, you can put wavs anywhere on the phone and still use them as ringtones. i have mine on the storage card.

Great tutorial for newbies or those who have trouble reading a written description.

Instead of audacity, RingtoneRipper would be a better tool if all you're doing is making 10-30 second long ringtones out of mp3s. Its pretty much all automated into maybe 3 steps.

(If you are going to do it as a email I would double check the foprmat of the text message adress first.
mp3s at 128kbps work flawlessly.
