The "|" Key

Anyone know where the "|" key is? I've had my Q for a few months now, and have never found it.

Any help is appreciated. (It's the Shift + \ on a regular keyboard).

I dont beleve that character can be represented on the Q.... the other characters (most except for the pipe symbol) can be entered by pressing the ALT button (bottom left) then the shift key.

Just wanted to add to this, I can't find this either, this is a big omission by motorola if truely not here as this is needed often for shell connection in unix systems. I think I'll poke around a bit more and open a trouble ticket if I still can't get it.

ok gals & guys... i have QCaps installed (and really like it) so while typing a text message today i pressed the ?-key a bit too long so it "cycled" to the next character, and there it was.. so unexpected and so familiar, yes it was our good friend the pipe | symbol.

i was actually a little excited :}

outside of the command-line community, what's a real world, typical consumer scenario you would need the pipe symbol with your Q? I can only think of using a pipe symbol if I was remoting into another machine or writing code on the Q.

Is the pipe symbol character available on regular cell phones?

qnoob you are probably correct.. never the less, regardless if we use it it should (and is) be there. regular cell-phones don't have a | i think.

99.99% of people i this world will never use | in their lifetime (kind of like the scroll lock & pause break keys)
