Default Text message - recurring notice

Hey guys.

When I receive a text message, my Q beeps one notification and then never beeps again. I'm used to having a phone that beeps every five minutes when I have a new text message (the beeping stops when I check the message, of course).

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get my Q to notify me more than once about having a new text message. Anyone know if this is possible and what steps need to be taken?

I appreciate any help. Thanks!

go to start > settings > unread message alert. Turn that on (it will also alert for emails)

Thanks Paco!

Is there any way to do that WITHOUT getting an alert for emails?

haven't used dont forget, will that do it for text alone?
I don't use the unread alerts anyway, all I need is one notice to remember...

oh yes! DF is the bomb for people who absolutely cant afford to miss a message. This is mostly an audio alert to the extreme...

Can check out LEDAlerts also for visual reminding!!

I don't think the 9m's built in reminder is that great. Its only for missed calls.
I want to use don't forget, but my cab file may only be a trial.
Also, why use LEDAlerts, if you are looking at the phone wouldn't you notice you have a message, etc.

LED Alerts comes in play and is handy if you just glance over to the Q....

of course it's all based on what you like/want or not.... what some find handy, someone else can find it obnoxious :}
