Default Tettering to my damn wallet!

so i decide i have this project going on that i need my laptop out in a damn field with a internet connection. im thinking the cheapest way is to some how or another get it though my pda as the modem.

so i go to verizon.. they said i can do it and "tetther" it to my laptop with the USB choard that comes with the Q.. for 15 bucks more a month... WHAT ELSE MORE CAN THEY CHARGE FOR???
this is insane. im already at like 150 a month for a phone bill now another 15 son of a !!

anyone have a any suggestions?? is it worth the 15 bucks. i know most of you will say it depends on how bad i need it. but im more saying is it worth the moeny. the sales rep said i would have faster then dial up but a bit slower then DSL..
thats enough for me for my project.
But is the bills going to end?? wtf is wrong with this company verizon. everytime i go in there its another monthly fee to do this and that...

ugh!!

PDA Net works great! One time charge- it takes them a few days to Activate it if you pay by paypal. I assume CC is faster. There is a demo that is fully functional for 7 days. Then you have to buy or stop using it.

It's what I would do, pda net!

I use PDAnet often, (I'm in a concstruction trailer) and it is the absolute best bang for your buck. Easy to use, and it is quite fast.

$34 bucks and you're set. One time cost. Make sure you have an unlimited Data Plan at Verizon, as you'll burn through KB's rather quickly.

Another thumbs up for PDANet here...

I think that it seems faster than when I was tethering via the Verizon $15 eye-gouging...LOL
