Syncing problems with Office 2007

Since I purchased my Q in May I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to get my contacts off my phone and onto my computer. I don't use Outlook, nor do I have the desire to.

I downloaded SyncExpress and found that it would not work with my Q, apparently it doesn't support WM5.

I downloaded Office 2007 for the express purpose of downloading contacts, but still no luck.

When I sync my Q I get the following error message in ActiveSync:
"Cannot synchronize with the Outlook program you are using, because a different profile was previously set up or the profile is password-protected. Please open Outlook using the appropriate profile."

My Q has all the info for my Gmail and Hotmail accounts. I set up Outlook 2007 with my Hotmail info. I've never set up Outlook and I'm using the same password.

I try to import my contacts using Outlook '07s import/export feature. No dice.

Getting really frusterated weeks, hours later. Any suggestions?

Outlook will pull your contacts from your phone using ActiveSync or that Vista App (I always forget the name of it). The import/export feature is to pull contacts from data files and other applications.

Just to make sure that you don't have ActiveSync pulling too much data. Set up the initial profile to just sync the contacts. This should take care of the issue for you.

It seems my Gmail account on the Q was giving me the problems. I don't know why, but once removed everything else Sync'd up. Thanks for the help
