Strange problem with lock ups ..

Just recently got my Q and I love it. By far the best phone i have ever had, however I am having one small problem ..

Anytime I go to my contacts and select a name and then press "Send Text Message", the phone locks up and I have to remove the battery and turn the phone back on after several minutes. Now, I realize this isn't any huge deal, as I can send text messages through another screen but I would like to see if I could get this fixed. Possibly a reset or something of that sort?

This happens to me too except it locks up when i try to change the custom ringtone of contact with more than 2 phone numbers saved. I solved this by aquiring a copy of photo contacts pro and overriding the built in contacts. If theres a better way to fix it as my method isnt even a fix per se i would be interested in it.
