Strange beeps - Motorola Q Forum

I can't for the life of me figure thius out.
For no reason about every couple of hours my phone has a 2-tone beep.
I look and no programs are open. It does it day or night and the battery is fully charged.
It's annoying and I am stumped!
Any ideas???

If you live in an area where the signal strength isn’t that great, it could be the alert stating that you lost signal, and regaining it. But that you or someone would have to enable. Check it out under the phone settings – alerts. That’s the only thing I can think of..

I'll check that. Hey, off topic. I just booked a Memorial weekend in DC for the family. Is everything open there on Sat and Sunday?

Saturdays yes, and since its a 3 day weekend, Sunday should also be good. Check the Metro's (bus, and trains) for transportation. All day pass is about $5 each, and its good for the day. Driving in DC SUCKS! Just bring a large card for the pics, and enjoy the area.

I've been there 5 or 6 times.
My family hasn't. Besides the usual Capitol/Whitehouse/WMonument/Lincoln/Smithsonian...what are the secret good things we must see?

My wife's about to kick me out of the house!
This thing vibrates, then beeps about every hour!
She was woken up all through the night!
Somebody help! You know what it's like to be in my situation!
"why did you buy that stupid phone? didn't the old one work? you are never satisfied"

I turned off the messages beep this morning and I hope that's it...

HELP!

Try these things, one of them has to work...

Turn off alerts: settings/more/phone settings/alerts/
service tone: off
mniute beep: off
call drop tone: off
ERI alert: off

Turn off unread mgs alert: settings/more/unread msg

Alot of times it is unread email or texts. Make sure you have them all makred read or it will beep.... assuming you still have the beeps on.

I agree with you guys, I hear all kinds of beeps and tones and noises all the time and have no idea why. I look at the phone, no emails, no texts, no missed calls, etc, so I have no idea why the phone is so noisy.
