Default Sprint Q1 vs Q9C

The price of the original q is no 29.00 after the 100.00 mail in rebate. Are the upgrades really worth the bigger price. Talk time for the q9c is better, but thats cause it comes with an extended battery, and with the money you save you can get the Seido 3300 and talk forever. The operating system is different but there are hacks or programs to do about everything that WM6 can do so whats the big deal. Really?

Basically Sprint TV, Sprint Nav (or using google maps or windows live search without an external GPS) Slightly updated (soon to be slightly more updated) Operating system. The ability to sync via bluetooth. The HTML email wasn't that big of a deal. I prefer the keyboard on the Q9c over the one on the Q1 (some people don't)
Personally I like the Q9c better than the Q1 ( I even went back to the standard battery using a back door from a Q9m)

I have sprint tv on my q1 with a hacked version from rainmakers app page. I guess gps would be good if i ever got lost.

I know there are the upgrades but can you honestrly say its worth the 130.00 difference

I think in this case the only reason for the $130 price difference is that sprint is trying to get rid of their supply of Q1. When the Q9c was released (late november) it sold for the same price as the Q1. If you factor in the cost of an extended battery and external GPS for the Q1 it kinda eats away at the price difference.
Anyway, it was worth it for me because I use the bluetooth sync feature all the time. It's nice to be able to be able to sync with my PC (which is in the bedroom upstairs) while I am in my living room.

That is nice. Or syncing while in the bathroom. Why no camera upgrade?

Don't know, The Q9h is the only one that has an upgraded camera, but then if I want great pictures I break out my 35mm SLR that was made in 1971.

Maybe Motorola will revive the camera from the skarven concept...
It was supposed to have an 8mp camera, but I haven't heard any "real" new info on that or the Genghis (Q10) since september...

8mp is riduculous for a phone. i think 3 is the most you will ever be able to do any good with

Many of the Japaneese phones have 5mp, but I do agree. It's a phone first, the camera is just an added benefit for those quic pics or times when you don't have a camera on you.

I doubt that we're ever going to see those exact phones anyway. It was a "leak" that came from a trade expo in amsterdam. A google search for those two names should bring up the articles I saw.
