Sprint Q User and Outlook

I have set-up my Q to retrieve my pop mail by creating a new account. The problem is when that accounts gets mail, it doesn't show up on the home screen under email. The home screen is always stating Email (0). I am using the built-in Mobile outlook program. Any ideas how I can get it to notify me on the Home Screen when I have mail. It is set to auto retreive the mail every so often. Thanks in advance
