Default Speed Dial & Voicemail Shortcut

Hi I recently got my Q not too long ago and still learning the little quirks of the wonderful device here and there. One thing I have noticed is that the speed dials that i have shortcutted to programs doesn't work sometimes but then 10-20 minutes later they work. whats up with that? At first I thought maybe its because i need to close running programs because the OS is too congested and running slow but after killing the running programs, i realized that was not the case. Another question I have is how do i set my voicemail to auto log in so that I don't have to type in my password. I've seen the formula in some other forum but i cannot find it now. Any help is welcome, thanks in advance!

If Verizon, go to Setting's, Call Options, Voice Mail Number. then after the *86 enter two lower case p's then your pin. i.e. *86pp1234
This is what i use and after a sec when it connects to your mail box it will ender your password.

Go to Start, then Settings, Then Call Options...under Voice Mail Number, enter *86pPASSWORD#......the "p" is for a pause, and you may need another one if just one does not work...just will take a couple of seconds longer.

Default Speed Dial Not Working

Hello - I have about 10 numbers set up on speed dial. All of a sudden, this morn, none of them work. They still have the speed dial number assigned to them, but when I press and hold down the number, nothing happens. Anyone know how to fix that?

restart your phone, power down, power on

You can also insert a 'Wait' in the same way you insert a pause. For example *86w1234. A wait is more or less a prompt. As soon as you connect to voice mail, you simply hit send again. I use this because I travel a lot and get weird connection times after dialing. I would have to put 3 or possibly 4 pauses in for it to work. Wait solves all the timing issues and you don't have to key in your password every time.

Yea, I tried it all, reboot phone, changed settings, NOTHING! Still won't use the #1 key to access my voice mail. I ended up having to create another speed dial shortcut to use my voice mail. Sucks! Since you can't see the #1 key in the speed dial setting menu is there any register hacks to get to this setting?
