Default SOUNDS - does not play

Does anyoen else have this problem? When i go to settings, sounds, and ring tone, it should just play a sample of the ring tone, but i dont hear anything. even when i press "play" i still cant hear anything.

i also tried playing soemthing in windows media player but could not hear a sound.

can someone please help?

do any of your other sound (like .mp3, ringtone when someone calls) work ?

Is your volume all the way down? When in an application like Windows Media Player, push in the scrollwheel until the volume bar comes up and increase the volume there.

yes, when someone calls, i still hear the ring tone. when i get messages, i can still hear the message sound. i just cant hear any sound when im trying to select an actual ringtone.

try what the poster above you said, push in wheel and scroll..

hi. i tried pushing the scroll wheel & turning but nothing happened. if i listen closely, theres a small click noise like it wants to play the sound but it doesnt.

You have to wait until the volume bar pops up before you start scrolling. Just hold it in for a few seconds.

Default Standard Issue

This is a problem with the Q, it indicates that it needs a Master Reset. Most issues with the Q require a master reste, the phone kinda sucks.
