SOUNDS - does not play

That's not exactly fair (and it's an old thread), I've been using a Q since last march (2 different models) and the only master reset I've had to do (other than for software upgrades) was when I screwed up a hack within a week of getting the first Q.
The Q is pretty much a small computer and (like computers do) requires some occasional maintenance to keep running as well as it should. SK tools lite (on rb's apps page) helps with this. and keeping your inboxes (text and email) relitavely clear, and deleting temporary internet files both help too.

If there is a small click sound when you try to play a ringer, I think that's a good sign. Your phone might be just fine.

Have you looked at your profiles under settings? Hover over a profile, click menu, and check to see that you have all of the sound categories set to 1) make a sound and 2) a sound volume of 3 or higher. Make sure the profile is checked, and also check the scrool wheel volume once before you try again....

Tell us is this doesn't work...

p.s. the Q9 is what you make of it... most of us find out the hard way.

that happens to me but only with certain ringers try het a new ringer or a different version of it
