Default Small Bumps and Shaking is Turning my Q Off!!!

I've only dropped my phone once a very long time ago and I've never had problems until today. I was going to make a call and saw that my phone was off. Once I got to work realized that anytime I bump or even gently shake my phone it will turn off.

Has anyone else had any similar problems or maybe know what it is?

This doesn't sound good. If you have a full charge, it's probably a short. Call VZW and ask for a replacement. Are you within 90 days? If not, did you get the insurance?

Good call. Might be something that small. Hope so.

I think this may have been the problem. I put a small piece of paper in the battery area to take up some space and my phones not turning off anymore. I found out I have the extended warranty so I may get a new phone anyways. Thanks for the tip!

I've got the same issue. It has been much better since I updated my firmware and stuffed some strategically folded paper between the extended battery and the cover. My Q still shuts itself down once in a while - maybe once every two weeks, but it doesn't appear to be related to small bumps or jostling anymore.

I am on my fourth Q Thank God for Verizon Insurance they never give me a problem they just overnight another one, However they were willing to switch me to one of there other pda's with no extra cost! They must be having mass problems with the Q! Even with all that I love my Q to death there is nothing on the market except for a Sony Erricson p990 if you can get one!

I have been having the same problem, it has been driving me nuts. Did some fumbling around and it is definitely the loose battery thing. I don't know if I would use paper. I'm going to try to find some spongy foam when I find some. This only happens with the extended battery. The cover must be too deep and any "bumping", even in your pocket while walking, lets the battery move enough to make the disconnect.
