Slide Show Screensaver - Motorola Q Forum

Hello, just a quick question here regarding something that is mentioned when you go to options within the Pictures and Video.

If you go to "Slide Show" There is a check box that says :
"Play screensaver when connected to my PC and idle for 2 minutes."

I have had it checked and have waited and waited and still no screensaver! Am i doing something wrong? It's not that big of a deal, but down the road when i get the dock i think it would be cool for it to cycle through pictures..

Any idea with this one? I've tried setting the backlight timeout and everything, including the USB cable vs. the charger..

Where are your photos for the screensaver slideshow located?

They are wherever the camera puts them. In the default folder i would presume. Anyway, the option for the screensaver is within the photos and videos screen, so you would think it would work, but no success. I tried setting all the display timeouts at their maximums, but to no avail. Maybe i'm missing something, but I just can't get it!!

Hmm.. I just tried it and it doesn't work for me either.. I played with the backlight in the power settings as well, but that didn't help.. not sure what else to try..

Oh well, thanks for trying! Maybe it's just a bug or something that needs to get tweaked in the registry..

my screen saver seems to work only when it feels like it. I'd say 50% of the time I dock my phone in my cradle I get it, the other half nothing. Downloaded the Resco Photo Viewer demo, has some pretty cool transitions for a screen saver. Don't think you can set it to be your default screen saver tho

Well that's not good! Maybe it will be fixed in a future patch or something. It seems funny they'd include it and have it pretty much be useless.. It's interesting though that you've gotten yours to work. Are they of the pictures you've taken with your camera?

The pictures should be in the 'my pictures' folder for it to work

Mine works!
The Phone can't be locked when in the craddle.
I have in Settings/power management, I set AC timeout to never and Display Timeout to never. It takes about 10 min's to start but then it's ok.
