SD card only shows 1 gb rather than 2gb now? - Motorola Q Forum

I was trying to install some software last night and somehow during the soft reset it erased my 2gb SD card. the Q asked me if I wanted to format it so it was readable and I said yes, now it only shows up as 1 gb rather than 2gb. I have tried using resco explorer, cnetx flash format, and sktools but can only get it to format to 1 gb? Anyone ever experieince this or now why it would do this? I have asked all around the office if anyone has a memory card reader and for being in a "technical" company I can not find anyone who has one.

Any suggestions?

Anyone? 70 views and not even a "way off the mark" response?

Last night I took the card over to the neighbors and tried it in his memory card reader and it would not recognize it. I also tried to swap some files to the card yesterday while it was in the Q, and after rebooting it said the card would need to be reformatted, clicked yes and it said successful as before, still only showing 1 GB. Going to my mothers house today and she has my card reader (it was too complicated for her to connect her camera to the pc so I gave her my card reader), but I am expecting that it will not allow me to recognize it.......Anyway to tell if the card is ruined???

I am having the same problem. I have tried the same thing as you and also same results. any help out there?

misery loves company!!! mine is a corsair and i found on their suport site they reccomend to send it to them, if it is really made by them. i bought mine from clubitdotcom. i got mine stable on a pc, but still only 1 gb.
