Screen time out

I've set the backlight timers, but whenever I select a program (open an e-mail and start to read it or start the web browser) the screen reverts back to the home page after 12 or so seconds. Under Power Options, I have Display Timeout set to Never, Backlight at 1 minute and on AC set to 5 minutes...
still reverts back after 12 seconds and I have to hit the back button to get back to where I was.

Try going into Settings->Home Screen and scroll to the bottom. You can change the time out in there.
