Default Screen on While Charging

When I charge my phone with the car charger for some reason the screen stays on all the time, so the battery drains almost as fas as it charges and therefore it takes forever to charge.

When I charge with the wall charger the phone goes to sleep as normal and takes much less time to charge.

Is there any way to fix this? Amd how does it know its charging from a car rather than the house?

I bought a 3rd party universal charger at radio shack and when I plug my Q into it my phone screen never dims.... very annoying as it was set up next to my bed (made an awesome night light though). When I plub my Q into my supplied Motorola AC charger the phone dims just fine.... same with my car charger that I got with sprint.

My suggestion, buy a Sprint or Motorola car charger and my guess is it will work normally.

Mine did that a few times as well. I just unplugged it and replugged it in, ensuring a good connection, and that did the trick.

I too have a Motorola charger that I bought off Ebay to keep at work and this one does the same thing too. My charger that came with it charges normally. I hope we find the answer as to why it does this.
