i jus relized there is no save target as or save picture funtion to ie on the q or im a i just stupid? can anyone help?

Those functions are not part of the Smartphone's browser.

I noticed they're not supported, too. My issue is when trying to download a file (an mp3 for instance), IE automaticallt attemps to save it to the phones memory, not the SD card. Anyway around that?

When dowloading a file, the left soft key has the save option, the right soft key will give you a menu that you can use to specify where to save the file. It would be nice if the Smartphone browser supported saving multiple file types though. Most of them just say it can't be viewed, which is really annoying.
