if I recall correctly, you have to edit the Profile settings inorder to make both function.

Default Need more help than both ... Please!

I've been using the RING AND VIBRATE mode for a while. Although it works, I much prefer my old phone (V60 - Verizon) program where I could set the vibrate first (4 pulses) then it would start ringing (4 rings) before going to voice mail. This was awesome in spontaneous meetings, or venues where you could check the phone for the caller ID without it disturbing the room or party you were talking to. If you wanted to take the call or throw the call into V.M. before it started ringing it was your choice before the room/party knew you had a call!
If there's someone who could map the way to make that happen ... I'd sing your praises all over the boards!
Crossing My Fingers!
Gregory!

There is a vibrate then ring option. It only vibrates once, so you have to be pretty quick to send to VM without ringing. I've never seen any option for the number of vibration pulses, but there may be a registry hack. I usually just click the Ignore button if I don't want to look down to see who's calling.

That's what I have now G.Bear (thank you though) - and it has its usefulness - but I'm specifically looking for the 'vibrate first 3/4 then ring next 3/4'. I ALWAYS want/need to know who's calling as my calls go from Urgent-Must-Take-The-Call to the mundane - I'm just trying to be courteous to my immediate audience (meetings/boardroom/etc.) and have the privilege of deflecting the call into voice-mail before anyone needs to be interrupted by a ringing phone – or – hit the answer button, whisper “hold on” and excuse myself to take the call ... all with little to no fan-fare and without disruption to the people around me. These little courtesies are key to keeping the old-school-fuddy-duddies (and even when visiting my folks) from ever developing a negative attitude to me or my work.
I hope there's a hack somewhere. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Try searching with 'vibrate ring hack'. One of the threads shows how to modify the vibration/ring tone durations.
