Default Removing factory set icons

Long time lurker, first time poster.

First and foremost, I have used the search feature extensively. I removed all of the third party software and icons which was included with the phone. When I went to remove the "Software Store" and "GetGood" and other crap like that icons - it told me that I couldn't because I didn't have access to modify, delete, or change it.

After another search of the forums I couldn't locate a remedy to my issue. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this crap?

Go into File Manager, or the third party manager of your choice, and browse to the icon files. Highlight the files, enter options, and uncheck Read-Only and System if they're checked. Now try to delete them.

The factory installed programs won't appear on the removal list because you can't use that tool to remove them. You have to delete their folders and directories and remove the icon.

Like I said, you have to uncheck Read-Only and System properties on those files, and you have to do it on the Q. Don't even have the Q synced. Just set the properties and delete.

Ok, I have it synched up right now and it has the "read only" part grayed out and I cannot click on it. When I go through File Manager, the files do not even appear.

Yes, you can't edit the file properties on ActiveSync.

In File Manager you have to uncheck Hide Hidden Files and System Files in Options.
