Default Removing Apllication In Start Up Menu And Shortcut Bar

Hello All!

I am a new subscriber and this is my first post in this forum. I have a problem removing an application. It is called Right Menu Key and I could not figure out how to remove it so I went in the registry editor and removed everythign that had that registry in it. Now the program does not work, and it is still showing a generic white icon.

Does anyone know how to remove this and also get back my contact shortcut that used to be on the bottom right of home screen. The right menu key program replaced the functionality of that button.

Thanks for any help!!

Tony

Didn't the Remove Programs settings applet work for Right Menu? If you didn't try that, you should have.

The best way would probably be to install the program again, then uninstall it the correct way.

If that doesn't work, or if it still leaves an icon in the Start Menu, go to \Windows\Start Menu to remove the icon.

Exclamation right menu problem

I tried to remove the program by using the remove program in the settings menu but it was not listed there. Then I tried deleting the app and all parts associated with it but it still was in the right menu button place and when I would click that button I got an error message saying that short cut is no longer available- HELP!

Take a look at the thread that Rude mentioned. If there is no help there, try what Steve suggested (install again, then try another uninstall) or look for the start icon.

there MUST be a Windows folder, try browsing ON the Q using the default File Manager.. and check if hidden and system files are set to hidden. (also in the File Manager)
