random odd and end issues - Motorola Q Forum

so did a bit of looking around on the search for these certain problems. some were helpful but no new advice. seeing if there has been any new advice out there just not posted.

my Q turns off randomly.. pretty sure its the batter just being lose. so ive been wedging paper and stuff in there to tighten it up . works fine for awile. but now my back of the battery pack holder is cracking. not so tight anymore.

any ideas on better tips to keeping the battery set? maybe a new thicker door that keeps it in place better.

question 2. but related to question 1..
when my Q turns off randomly . and usualy its when i go to grab for it after i get a txt. well i lose that txt. and no way to get it back. and loses anything that i havent saved by turning it on and turning it back on .
any new numbers and txt and emails or settings.
so i usualy have to once a day or right after i get some important number i have to turn it off and on just to make sure it sets it..
any suggestions on getting it to keep the info if the battery was to drop its connection for some reason..

question 3. quick ness to load the camera or video camera.. its SOOO SLOW!! any suggetions to booting it up faster?

question 4. sometimes it says "charge complete" after only charging a few min. but i know its not charged. will die in a hr.. but sometimes it will charge for hrs and then say charge complete and last for damn near all day.. any ideas on why this might be?

thats about it. keep it at that for right now

OH one more..
how to i update my Q... to make sure im up to date??
i know the what is it * 228 i think.
but i dont know if thats for Qs also or if there is more updates and better updates out there.

what is the proper way to update my Q to make sure its up to date and not belly up on updates

The first thing I would do is back up the phone and then update it via the motorola website. Honestly I've not heard of a Q losing data like you are describing unless you are hard resetting the phone.
