It's at least 1-2 times an hour, possibly more. The location doesn't matter...at home where my reception is crappy or at work...it's pretty much the same.

Man, I'm outa ideas at the mo..if I come up with any other thoughts, I'll be back to ya.
Is it possable to sit and watch the darn thing until it happens? Might be staring at yer phone for up to an hour from what you've said, but usually when a sound happens, there's a corresponding message on-screen.

Since I am not using the phone when the beep occurs I don't think it's the call drop.

Where would that hourly chime be set up at? It's chirping about once an hour. Last time I was actually looking at the phone when it happened it was at 17 after the hour. This is really irritating.

One more thought and I gotta give up...do you lock your phone?
under Settings-->, Security-->, Device Lock--> there's a box you can check for "Prompt if device unused for"..if you check that box, you can pick from 1 min. to 24 hours..perhaps yours is set for 30 min. or 1 hour?
If not...I give up.

Sorry man.

Sorry man.
I checked and it's checked and grayed out so I can't change it. Probably due to security settings at my work. However while I was looking at that the phone chirped so it's not making a noice when it locks itself.

SIGH

Checked and greyed out? Can you at least change the next line down to 24 hours or something? (assuming this is in fact your issue)

no the checkbox and the time is grayed out. i think they are locked out due to settings from my work's mail server.

I don't think that is the issue because it wasn't locked when I was looking at it and it still beeped.

Well hell, I'm stumped.
You say your "work's mail server"...anybody else at work using a Q? If so..same issue? If not, go through their settings etc. and see if there's any differences.

Good luck, and sorry I wasn't able to help find the solution.
