Default questions on mini sd card

Ok so I bought a mini sd card and now I want to make it so I can transfer file from my computer to the card. I hear I need some kind of addaptor. I buy my stuff of of ebay so as I was looking for the card reader I realized that most of the card readers also require some kind of convert adaptor but Im not sure what I am looking for. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I'm pretty new to the Q, but if you connect the Q to USB and use ActiveSync / Tools / Explore Smartphone, does it show up there? You could copy and paste.

Otherwise, you need a SDmini to SD card adapter sleeve.
Then the SD card can be read by any standard USB/SD Card reader that doesn't take miniSD.
You likely won't find the adapter alone ~ or at least it won't be worth it.
Here's a 1GB with the adapter sleeve included at a decent price

I don't know this so that's why i'm asking. Don't all miniSD cards come with the adapter sleeve?

Your Q will act as a card-reader via ActiveSync in just about everyway (you can drag & drop files onto it in explorer and Windows Media Player will sync right up to it. Not sure about other 3rd party Media Centers though). If you got a MiniSD card and didn't get a sleeve, my guess is that you did get it on eBay and they just didn't send you the sleeve. There are 15-in-1/21-in-1 card readers that will read it directly though.

every time i've bought a mini sd card it's come with the adapter sleeve. I have a sandisk mobilemate usb card reader that reads mini sd cards without the sleeve, and i think a lot of other card readers will have a slot for mini sd. i like the mobilemate one though, because it's about the size of a thumb drive.

MIne did come with the adaptor sleeve but to transfer files on it from the computer instead of using the wired active sync (because if you normally do wireless it screws things up) there is some kinda wire you need to get. THis is what I am looking for.

If you have the adapter sleeve, then you can use a USB card reader that accepts either miniSD or SD.
Like this: http://www.supermediastore.com/phili...der-black.html

It's unnecessary though, because as VTDr0p0ut states, you can just use the Q as your card reader, by connecting it to your PC w/ the supplied USB cable, and use the "Explore Smartphone" feature of ActiveSync.
(I seems this is the best way to go, as some datatypes appear to need some conversion for smartphone use, which ActiveSync does)

Ok but I was told that if I currently use wireless sync and I hook the phone up to a hardwired activesynk that it screws things up. Is this incorrect?

It has the POTENTIAL to screw everything up. I simply setup activesync not to sync contacts/emails/etc (only notes, favorites, and media) and everything works like I charm (yes, I do use WirelessSync).

what about word docs and spreadsheets will that work after turning active sync off? Do you have a link that shows me how to do this?
