questions from a new Q user

question 1: with text messages, is there any way to get them to go in ONE continuous "log" of messages (the way Instant Messages are set up.... all messages go in 1 window, rather than 10 seperate windows?) i know the treo could do it... i'd be shocked if the Q couldn't do it. just can't really figure out how.

question 2: "key lock" --- in the manual it says there is a way to set the key lock so that after an automatic period of time, it automatically goes into key lock...sorta like....the Treo???? i tried but i just don't see the option for automatic key lock. i see it for "device lock", is that the same thing??? i don't wanna have to deal with that PIN nonsense though.

question 3: covers - any cool covers out yet for the Q? i'm not talking about the standard black wierd cheap-o looking ones... i'm talking about the Softgrip gel ones, kinda like the ones that are common with I-Pods??

Check out one of the first new free applications in our new freeware downloads section. SMS Threader will give you Treo chat style type texting.

I might be wrong, but I believe keylock needs to be set manual. Just press and hold the HOME button for quick access to KeyLock. Device Lock requires a password. It locks your phone moreso than just the keys.

ohhhh i totally remember you from the Treo 650 forum... i think you helped me "dry out" my first "drowned" Treo back in February... thanks for that. i can't believe that i have to download an application to "thread" my texts, that's unbelievable..... the guy in Verizon swore that this phone was on par with the Treo, but so far i have yet to believe it. i was looking for a "skin" for the Q, but i wanted a cool color - i used to have pink ;) ha oh well, i'll keep looking.
