Default Q'd Out

After 7 Q's, I have finally Q'd myself out and upgraded to the Mogul (HTC6800)... and while I'm very impressed with the new phone, the thing that impresses me the most is that it sucks a battery down faster than the Q -- quite a feat if you ask me!

Anyway, I just figured after a year of membership of this great forum, I'd say one final goodbye. So Chris, when is "www.everythingmogul.com" or "www.everythinghtc.com" coming out?

So long and good luck!

Yeah I cycled through 3 Qs before Verizon dropped a 700wx on me. I have owned one before, but I appreciate the Treo more this time around after my brief time with the Q.

Anyhoo, back to my lurking. And not worrying about battery life

My mogul does fantastic on battery (2 days typically). But I consider myself a light user (I don't sling or stream music). EMail and some browsing.

Knock on wood, since I shut the d$mn GPS Locator off on my wifes Q it's been 18 hours, light use and it's still 100% full on stock battery.

Oh here is a good forum for the mogul. Good folks. http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6800-xv6800/

Come on guys! Why bail on the Q? I rock 4 phones; 1 Q, 2 Treo 700p's and a new Mogul. All of them are great and all of them SUCK. But hell thats what makes this Smartphone "hobby" fun. Thats exactly what this is, a hobby. Until they make these things "foolproof" and everybody has one, I'm going to continue to hack, program, curse, praise and show off what my phones can do to the oohs and aahs of the commoners!

Default I'm out too...

After ten months, I can't take the Q anymore. I love the phone, when it works. But I am having so many problems with it that it is actually compromising my business.

It mishandles email (not sending when it says they're sent), autonomously deciding not to download email for hours at a time, somehow getting a virus which required a master reset.

The form factor is excellent, the capabilities are decent. But as the Verizon rep told me on the phone during my last call to the service center:

"Dude, this phone wasn't meant to be used the way you're using it. Way too much use."

And I can't live with that.

Everyone on here has been great and helpful, and in some ways I will miss my Q. But as soon as VZW releases the Treos they currently have in the pipe (755p and/or 800w), my Q will be a battle scarred paperweight.

I hate to step back to from where I came, but I will never have a BlackBerry.

The guy was actually a jerk about it, but what can you do? I get a couple hundred emails a day, and probably 3 or 4 hours a day of talk time. I guess that's too much for it to handle (although I can barely keep up...).

Thanks for all the help and talking through things more than once.
