Q Rookie here Please help

I just got my Q this weekdn and I have a handful of quesitons tha tI am hoping you guys can help me out with. I apologize if you have already answered these before, but this site has been great:

1. When ever I run something IE, check contacts, when I am done and I go to task manager, it shows lots of stuff running still. Is there a way to exit out of programs such as IE and I was shocked to see contacts listed in there too. IS there something I need I did wrong or need to do differently?

2. Is there a browser I should use other than IE? Some pages just don't seem to load right and I hate IE.

3. The quick links at the top, can they be deleted or changed?

4. How can I make shortcuts to commonly used programs?

5. Ringers - Does anyone know where I can download a traditional phone ringer for free? Also, is there a vibe and ring option on the phone? I love having it vibe first and then ring since it gives me a few seconds to get it before the audible ringer?

6. I have Sprint and the On Demand thing seems pretty cool. I see that some of it is pay for, how do I know which portions are pay for and which are free?

7. When I download fiels, where should I put them? In what folders (either directly from the phone or sync'd over) Do I need to create new folders? How do I do that?

8. What is PIE. I see a lot of refernces to this, but I can't seem to figures out what it is.

1. Windows Mobile seems to lack the ability to close programs properly.. we live with it.

2. you can try other browsers such as Opera.

3. it's the MRU = Most Recently Used. you can delete the whole plugin out of the home screen xml.

1. no your not doing anything wrong ROM programs dont have an exit feature. when your in task manager just kill the programs you dont want running and they will exit. 3rd party apps have an exit feature.

2. some pages dont load right just becuase they arent made for a mobile device.

3. they can be deleted by editing the homescreen xml file

4. you have to edit the homescreen xml code and add the correct plug in for that

5. check the forum there are site posted all over for ringtons. if you hold down the home key and go to the profile 'meeting' thats the vibrate function. you can edit each profile to make it vibrate and ring or however you want it.

7. you can download files anywhere you want to you dont need to make folders if you dont want. a recomendation would be to get an SD card to dl files to and keep things on to save memory on your phone.

6. After 2 weeks it will begin to tell you which ones are required to pay for. Just play around with it.
