ringtones are located in \application data\sounds
by default the Q will only play 30 seconds of a mp3 if its set as a ringtone..because that is how long it takes before voice mail kicks in
the default programs are stored in ROM and cant be removed...your best bet is if you want to keep alot of mp3s and pictures and movies is to get a mini SD card...
something you can do to keep the storage space open would be to clear out your history and temp files after using the internet after a couple of days...personally i think the best thing to do is get the storage card and install all 3rd party applications and mp3 on that to keep the memory free for emails, contacts and calendar info
When I scroll to App Data/Sounds on the Q, there is nothing in the folder, but if I go to contacts, and set a custom ringtone, they are all there. All 20 some odd crappy stock ringtones.
there are also sounds in the \application data\windows folder
if you put your custom ring tones (mp3) in the \application data\sounds folder they will show up when you go to select ring tones
I dont have an app data/windows folder, but then again im only logged into activesync under user. My phone isnt activated yet, so i was just loading it up before hand. I dont know if I need it activated to fully log in or what? Maybe some stuff is getting hidden?
you relocate it by editing the xml code...by placing the code at the bottom it will move it to the bottom of the screen. of course if you take a screen that has it at the top you might have to mess around with the x & y coordinates...know any xml coding..its just like html
